The more I study and look at my hero, Albert Bierstadt, the more I am drawn to these lake scenes. I've painted one like this before but this time I wanted to include a little more color and really make those rays of light stand out!
(Please check out the following pictures: Given that this painting has more layers of paint to provide a more luiminescent look, a camera can have a difficult time taking all of that in. Taking pictures of smaller areas helps alleviate that issue.)
